American Airlines sees 3.5 percent declines in Latin America, Caribbean Traffic
American Airlines Group is seeing a continued slide in its Latin America and Caribbean traffic.
Last month, American Airlines Group saw a 3.5 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles, with a total of 2.51 billion, down from 2.6 billion in February 2014, according to the company’s latest monthly report.
For the year to date, revenue passenger miles in the region have decreased by 4.4 percent.
The carrier did see a 2.5 percentage point improvement in load factor to 76.3 percent from 73.8 percent in February 2014.
Overall, the carrier posted a 1.6 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles last month internationally and a 72.8 percent load factor.
