AVIANCA invests 700 million dollars in new aircraft

avianca-atr72-600-courtesy-atrBOGOTA, WILLEMSTAD - The Colombian national aviation company, AVIANCA received the first of 15 aircrafts which they acquired at a cost of 700 million dollars. According to the company, these aircraft will be used to serve smaller markets in Central America.

The first ATR 72-600 aircraft model will start operations next Friday on routes departing from Guatemala City to Flores, in the same country, and San Pedro Sula in Honduras.

The international director of communications and corporate affairs, Claudia Arenas said that with this acquisition, the company will open doors to the small markets in Central America.

She highlighted the 700 million dollars invested in the purchase of 15 ATR 72-600 aircraft, which the company will receive between this year and the next.
