Bird strike caused KLM aircraft to be grounded

KLM at Curacao airportWILLEMSTAD - Yesterday the KLM flight KL736 did not leave for the Netherlands, because of a bird strike in one of the engines. This happened when the Boeing 747 landed at Hato Airport.

The engine became so damaged that the plane, which was scheduled at 15:25 hours to remain on the ground. If everything goes according to plan the KLM flight will still leave for Amsterdam today at 22.00. The passengers were housed in hotels yesterday.
