Delay of over 30 hours bound for Aruba

Tiara airCARACAS, ORANJESTAD – Flight 248 airline Tiara Air from La Chinita International Airport, Venezuela to Aruba was more than 30 hours late yesterday. Among the affected passengers were members of a softball team at the University of Zulia (LUZ), who were to participate in the U.S. today.

Passengers reported that after 7:00 pm, the airline had not offered an official version of the travel delay bound for Aruba.

“They say it is they are doing maintenance on the plane. They have to repair some parts. They said nothing in particular. We need to travel because we do not want to lose the championship,” said Jorge Contreras, a member of the team.

Other passengers like Maritza Gonzalez expressed their annoyance at the lack of information. "There are people who have reservations in Aruba who have already lost them by this delay. Others need to go to work, to visit sick relatives and it is not possible that we have not left yet,” Gonzalez said.
