Dominican Aviation Company will start operating to and from Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD, SANTO DOMINGO - A new Dominican Airline is ready to start its flights to and from Curaçao. Pawa Dominicana has received an operating license from the aviation authorities in Willemstad.
The regular service should start in August. The local airline InselAir will get a competitor on the Santo Domingo route. How often and on which day PAWA Dominicana will fly has not been disclosed yet.
The company will also operate to and from Aruba and St. Maarten.
Pan Am World Airways Dominicana is a Dominican airline based in Santo Domingo-Las Americas. It has some charter flights to other Caribbean islands and domestic destinations within the Dominican Republic, but the majority of flights are to Aguadilla, Venezuela, Punta Cana and now to Aruba and Curaçao and.
PAWA Dominicana's hub is in Santo Domingo-Las Americas Intl Airport, where the airline operates and maintains its fleet.
