Schiphol-plaza-nsAMSTERDAM – Authorities at the Schiphol International Airport in the Netherlands are testing smart cameras that can detect suspicious behavior of the passengers. This was recently reported by the local Dutch media.

According to the Dutch newspaper "NRC" these cameras allow the detection if a traveler spends too much time in the bathroom, if there is a group of people that divides at the airport or if someone leaves an unattended suitcase. These devices can also detect if someone is more nervous than usual.

According to the newspaper, the police hopes that with this method they can detect and prevent criminal attacks.
