Eurlings departs as CEO KLM

EurlingsAMSTERDAM - Eurlings stops immediately as chief executive at the Dutch airlines KLM. He has been CEO since July 1, 2013.

Pieter Elbers succeeds him. He was until now the second man in the Dutch part of the combined airline Air France-KLM.

Eurlings’ term was supposed to be until April next year. In consultation it was decided that Eurlings must immediately make way for his successor. A spokesman for KLM says it was a decision of the Supervisory Board.

Pieter Elbers (44) has worked since 1992 with KLM and is a member of the management since April 2012.
