Former DAE employees mad at Fransisca

DAEWILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Social Affairs is lying. This is according to former employees of the local airline Dutch Antilles Express (DAE). Minister Fransisca of Social Affairs and Labor said in the media that most employees of the bankrupt airline are already back to work. This is not the case, according to the employees.

Although the other local airline Insel Air took many personnel, particularly pilots and flight attendants, but there are still about 200 office staff sitting at home right now. A few of these 200 employees will be able to find work with the former competitor.

The Dutch Antilles Express was declared bankrupt on August 30 of this year leaving about 348 employees without work. The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor has offered a helping hand by giving the employees an opportunity to express themselves in a meeting. Minister Fransisca indicated that the employees can apply to receive government aid.
