InselAir forced to cancel flights to and from Miami because of Matthew
Affected passengers can rebook their tickets free of charge for next available flight.
WILLEMSTAD - InselAir was forced to cancel its flights to and from Miami on Thursday, October 6 because of Hurricane Matthew plaguing the coast of south Florida. This applies to flights from Curacao-Miami, Miami-Curacao, Miami-Port au Prince and Port au Prince-Miami. Because of the increased risk of lightning due to Hurricane Matthew, airport employees are not allowed to work outside on the platform of the Miami airport. For how long this restriction applies is not known. Once it is cleared and the weather allows it, InselAir will resume its operation to and from Miami.
InselAir will inform its passengers whose flight have been canceled because of the storm on time and will provide them with the ability to rebook on the next available flight without charges. This can be done at one of InselAir’s offices or through the Call Center. In addition, passengers can check the status of their flight on InselAir on their website.
