KLM pilots threaten to strike due to deadlock labor agreement negotiations

KLM at Curacao airportSCHIPHOL - After Ryanair, KLM pilots are now also threatening to stop the work. Pilots are on a strike if KLM does not promise to relieve their workload before Friday.

This is evident from a letter sent by the Association of Dutch Traffic Flyers (VNV) to its own constituency, reports the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

It is unclear when the strike should start if the airline does not comply with the requirements. The pilots demand relief from the workload and more salary.

The negotiations are in a deadlock since the members of the VNV union rejected a collective labor agreement with the KLM in May. KLM acknowledges in a reaction that the negotiations are 'in a difficult phase'.
