KLM plane makes precautionary landing in Curacao

KLM_Boeing_777-200ER_Closeup_PH-BQO_YULWILLEMSTAD - A Boeing 777-300 of the aviation company KLM made a precautionary landing in Curacao last Tuesday. The crew heard, 200 miles north of our island, a thumping noise in the cargo during light turbulence. The pilot then decided to divert to Curacao for a precautionary landing.

A thorough inspection was carried out after the landing. The sound was found to be caused by a large container which was not properly trapped. The plane that flew from Peru to Amsterdam suffered a delay of 2.5 hours.
