OAG FACTS – Executive Summary October 2012

This month’s analysis of the OAG (Official Airline Guide) schedules database indicates that airlines Worldwide will operate 0.3%more flights in October 2012 as compared to October 2011. The total number of scheduled flights operating in October 2012 is 2,659,091 with an overall seat offering of 343,637,325 an increase of 2% as compared to October 2011.

Flights and offered seats To/From North America have both increased by 1%. Total number of flights that will operate To/FromNorth America is 83,860 and total offered seats are 17,136,213. Traffic Within North America reflects a decrease of 1% infrequencies but a 1% increase in offered seats. Frequencies Within North America have decreased by 5,875 and offered seats
have increased by 478,206.

Flight operations Within Europe have decreased by 3% and offered seats have decreased by 1%. Total number of flights that willoperate Within Europe is 600,187 and total offered seats are 77,762,072. Traffic and offered seats To/From Europe both reflecta decrease of 1%.

The number of flights and seat capacity Within Middle East decreased by 3% and 4% respectively. Total flights scheduled tooperate Within Middle East are 46,670 and seat capacity offered is 7,123,135. Number of flights and seat capacity To/From
Middle East reflect an increase of 5% and 8% respectively, with frequency of 61,609 and seat capacity of 13,647,964.

Number of flights and seat capacity To/From Asia Pacific have both increased by 1%. Within Asia/Pacific there will be 29,891more flights and 6,223,225 more seats than in October 2011 resulting in an increase of 5% in flight operations and 6% in seat offerings.

Number of flights and seat capacity To/From Africa increased by 3% and 2% respectively. As compared to October 2011 therewill be 1,201 more flights and 175,207 more seats this month. Traffic Within Africa reflects a decrease of 4% in flight operations and a decrease of 1% in offered seats.

Flight operations and seat capacity Within Central & South America have both increased by 1%. Total number of flights that will operate Within Central & South America is 229,614 and total offered seats are 24,894,011. Flights and seat capacity To/FromCentral & South America have both increased by 3%, with 1,762 more flights and 235,758 more seats.
