Second Dreamliner landed at Hato

ArkeflyWILLEMSTAD - The second Boeing 787 Dreamliner of the aviation company Arke landed at Hato around 14:12 pm yesterday. After Curaçao, the aircraft flew to Aruba. Around 16:30 pm the plane landed on Aruban soil. The aircraft was delivered by Boeing in South Carolina and arrived in the Netherlands on December 12.

Arke is currently the first Dutch airline that flies with this type of aircraft. The airline announced in March this year that they will acquire a third aircraft of the type Boeing 787 Dreamliner for flights to Curacao.The third unit will be added to the fleet in March 2015.

The airline will operate more flights to Curaçao during the Christmas period and in summer 2015. In the summer there will be two additional flights per week (Wednesday and Sunday). In total there will be nine weekly flights to Curacao. Next Sunday and on January 4, there is an additional flight because of the Christmas rush. Starting January 9th, there will be an additional flight on Friday. This will be for a period of eight weeks.
