Tiara Air requests a moratorium

tiaraORANJESTAD - The Aruban carrier Tiara Air has submitted a request for an extension of the moratorium. The company once again ended up in heavy arrear because the Venezuelan foreign exchange authority CADIVI did not cross the bridge with the converted dollar tickets, which were sold in Venezuela.

Now that a payment agreement has been made for the tickets that were sold last year, an extension of the moratorium seems obvious. With CADIVI, it was agreed that the payments will be spread over the years 2014 to 2016. Due to financial problems, Tiara Air is now only operating to and from Punto Fijo, Venezuela. The intention is that the number of destinations is expanded when CADIVI indeed honors the agreement again.
