Winair stop flights to Curaçao

Logo_WinairPHILLIPSBURG, WILLEMSTAD - Winair will stop its flights to Curacao. This was announced by the Director of the aviation company in Sint Maarten. Reason for this decision is that the relatively small aircraft used by the company on the route proved to be unprofitable.

This is not the only problem of the airline. The flights to Santo Domingo will also be stopped. Winair flight now handles the connections between St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius. The Dutch government owns eight percent of the shares of the company.

It was only last December when Winair started operating to and from Curacao.
