Antillean guilder less secure
WILLEMSTAD - The current impasse over the decision for a new currency for Curaçao is a risk to the safety of the Antillean guilder. This is according to the Central Bank director Emsley Tromp.
There is a special conference this week on the innovation of financial transactions. Tromp said that new security techniques cannot be applied. At his time, politics is still not making decisions on the replacement of the Dutch Caribbean guilders as a replacement for the Antillean guilders used in the former Netherlands Antilles.
