Central Bank expects slight growth of economy
WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten predicts that the Curaçao economy, this year, will grow by less than half a percent. The Central Bank based this fact on the economic recovery of the two major trading partners of the island: the Netherlands and the United States.
Especially the transport and tourism will make an important contribution to the predicted growth.
The Central Bank also expects that the Curaçao population is going to spend slightly more in 2015, in connection with the announced tax cuts.
