Cooperation between Switzerland and Curacao greatly improved

WILLEMSTAD – According to a report in Versgeperst.com a delegation of the Dutch tax authorities paid a visit to the tax authorities of Curacao about two weeks ago. The delegation presented a workshop which was dominated by an improved and enhanced cooperation on tax information exchange.

The workshop took place at the initiative of Curaçao, in which representatives of Aruba and St. Maarten were present. "To my mind, this is a very useful meeting and has been the Dutch representatives’ answers to five requests from the Netherlands for information, relating to the so-called Private Foundations (SPF)", informs Junior Minister Frans Weekers of Finance.

Improvement
"In the last two years it can be observed that Curaçao had a clear improvement in the cooperation on ax information exchange," says Weekers. "After the joint workshop, we on this side are confident that this improvement will continue. Of course I keep a fingers crossed."
