Curaçao well represented on logistics exhibition ‘Intermodal 2013’ in Brazil

Curaçao companies in the logistics sector and professional services received the opportunity to offer their services at the exhibition.

Booth_Curacao Participates at Intermodal 2013WILLEMSTAD -From April 2 till 4, 2013, the Foundation Development Projects Logistics Sector (SLS) in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce & Industry made ​​it possible for Curaçao, for the third consecutive year, to be a part of the South American logistics exhibition 'Intermodal' in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Intermodal, the biggest event in the field of logistics in South America, counts each year more than 28,000 square feet of space for exhibitors, roughly 45,000 visitors and more than 450 participating companies, organizations and destinations that exhibit their products and services.

As in previous years Curacao, the only Caribbean island, had a stand with the theme 'Connecting Markets'. Minister of Economic Development & Tourism Dr. Steven Martina was one of the speakers at the opening seminar, who mapped that the problems but also opportunities in the logistics world.

Part of Delegation_ Curacao Participates at Intermodal 20134This year the following companies and organizations participated in the event: Curaçao Airport Holding, Curaçao Ports Authorities, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Curacao, Insel Air International, Foundation for Development Projects Logistics Sector (SLS), the Ministry of Economic Development, Axtor, Curinde, Curacao Tourist Board, Curaçao Drydock Company and Curoil.

Curaçao gave a presentation to highlight the possibilities via Curaçao to expand their markets to more than 30 major companies of the Industrial Center of Sao Paolo (CIESP).

Participants met with several key contacts during the three-day event, which offered great opportunity to increase the potential between Curaçao and Brazil.
