Less money in circulation

WILLEMSTAD - The amount of money in circulation and in the vaults of the Central Bank fell by 80 million guilders last month.

Cause: the commercial banks were obligated to deposit more money into the  treasury of the Central Bank. This prevents a decrease of the supply of dollars in the bank on Curacao. The amount of money in circulation has not diminished. The citizens and businesses of Curaçao have almost 350 million guilders in daily use.
