MoU between Guangdong Zhenrong and BP
BEIJING - Guangdong Zhenrong Energy, the company that wants to take over the Curaçao oil refinery after 2019, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the oil company BP. The two will work together commercially.
The oil that will be used for this purpose, will be refined at the Isla refinery here on the island. BP plans to buy 335,000 barrels per day of oil from the oil refinery. They will be the recipient of all refined fuels.
Possibly the Venezuelan State Oil Company (PDVDSA) will still continue to play a role after 2019: they will possibly provide more crude for processing at the refinery.
