Occupancy hotels increased 3.3 percent

MarriottWILLEMSTAD - The occupancy rate of the hotels was higher in September than last year in the same month. In September 2014, 69.8 percent of the rooms were occupied, twelve months earlier it was 66.5 percent. This was reported by the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA).

The average room rate fell in the same period. A room rate in September last year was 127.89 dollars per night. Last September it dropped to 125.90 dollars. Revenue per room increased in this period from 83.06 dollars to 87.84 dollars.
