Promotional tour Curacao International Financial Center (CIFC)

WillemstadWILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao International Financial Center (CIFC), a public-private partnership between the Curaçao government and private sector, is going on a tour. The CIFC will visit Miami, Mexico and Bolivia this year. The goal is to give international fame to the financial sector of the island.

Curacao will promote itself as an international financial center at five international conferences. The first conference on the agenda is the sixth Latin American Regional IFA Conference in Santa Cruz (Bolivia) from May 7 to 9.

- 7th annual U.S. - Latin American Tax Planning Strategies; Miami, June 4 to 6

- STEP LatAm Conference; Mexico, September 4 to 5

- Latin Markets Private Wealth Latin America & Caribbean; Miami, October 22 to 23

- Private Banking LatAm Americas and Family Office Forum; Miami, November 19 to 20

Delegation

The Curaçao delegation present in Bolivia consists of AIC, Amicorp, Ennia, EY, HBM Group, Intertrust, the Chamber of Commerce, SGG Management Curaçao, Curaçao VBK Services and PwC. The international financial sector is an important economic pillar which accounts for 8 to 10 percent of the Curaçao economy. This is an important source of foreign currency for Curaçao. The CIFC is formed by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS), the Chamber of Commerce, Logistics Sector Foundation (SLS), Association Business Curacao (VBC), Curacao Bankers Association (CBA), Association of International Bankers (IBA), International Financial Group (IFG) and Curaçao International Financial Services Association (CIFA).
