Subsidized institutions often have high debts

Court of AuditWILLEMSTAD - Most institutions that receive government subsidies have high debts. This is according to a research conducted by the Court of Audit.

Many of these institutions are in arrears with the tax authorities and do not pay their social contributions on time. This also means that their entitlement to obtaining a subsidy lapses. The government has not intervened so far.
