Enjoy the holiday season with HBO’s exclusive movie premieres in December in the Caribbean

DF-02238.CR2MIAMI – HBO announces the exclusive films premiering in the Caribbean each Saturday at 21:00hrs AST* during the month of December.
Directed by Justin Chadwick, the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom<> (Saturday, December 6th) recounts the life journey of the legendary Nelson Mandela, from his childhood to his 27 years in prison before his inauguration as the first elected president in South Africa. Starring Idris Elba (Nelson Mandela) and Naomie Harris (Winnie Madikizela-Mandela), this film is based on the 1995 autobiography, “Long Walk to Freedom.”
Gravity<> (Saturday, December 13th), starring Sandra GravedadBullock (Dr. Ryan Stone) and George Clooney (Matt Kowalski), tells the story of two astronauts stranded in space after the destruction of their shuttle. Dr. Ryan Stone is on her first space mission along with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski; meanwhile, a cloud of debris begins to form in space due to a Russian missile strike on a defunct satellite. The high-speed debris detaches Stone from the shuttle leaving her floating through space. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, this survivor thriller will leave viewers at the edge of their seat.
Winner of three Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress and an Oscar® for Best Adapted Screenplay, 12 Years a Slave<> (Saturday, December 20th) is an adaptation of the 1853 slave narrative memoir, “Twelve Years a Slave” by Solomon Northup. The film tells the story of Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), an African-American violinist who lives with his wife and two children in New York. After accepting an offer to be a musician in Washington, two men drug Solomon and deliver him to a slave pen where he is enslaved for twelve years. Directed by Steve McQueen.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones<> (Saturday, December 27th), directed by Herald Zwart, is a science fantasy film based on The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, about New York City teenager Clary Fray (Lily Collins) and the day she discovers that she and her mother Jocelyn (Lena Headey) are both Shadowhunters. Clary inherited her mother’s powers and slowly begins to realize that the world she lives in is no longer what it seemed.
