Sinterklaas tomorrow in Curacao

SinterklaasWILLEMSTAD - Tomorrow Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolas) will arrive in Curaçao. Willemstad will be full of colors and the happy smiles will be seen everywhere. Why? Because Sinterklaas brings presents to all those who behaved themselves during the year. Those who did not behave, will be taken back to Spain.

The festivities will start at Brion Plaza in downtown Otrabanda at 8 o’clock. The ship will dock at Mathey wharf. After Brion Plaza, Sinterklaas will head to KFC Santa Maria and then to the Tropical Park.

Sinterklaas is celebrated annually with the giving of gifts on the night before Saint Nicholas Day (5 December) in the Netherlands and on the morning of 6 December, Saint Nicholas Day itself, in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Northern France (French Flanders, Lorraine and Artois). He is also well known in the islands of the former Netherlands Antilles.
