ELSA visits OM and PG
WILLEMSTAD - The European Law Students' Association (ELSA) is currently in Curaçao for a study trip led by assistant professor Flora Goudappel of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
The group of 19 students received a tour at the temple, which is the office of the Public Prosecutor. They were addressed by Attorney Guillano Schoop. At the Attorney General’s office, the student received a presentation by Public Prosecutor Ton van der Schans.
The Public Prosecutor was presented with many questions, including the application of the Dutch law in Curaçao, to what extent the Dutch influenced the Curaçao law and the autonomy of Curaçao.
The students were also interested to know what the differences are between the Dutch and the Curaçao law.
