Elvis “Monster” Kuwas from the Netherlands to Bonaire
THE HAGUE - The man who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of the popular political leader Helmin Magno Wiels has recently been transferred from maximum security prison in Vught, the Netherlands to Bonaire. Elvis "Monster" Kuwas (40), was filmed by an Antillean TV station when he stepped off the plane handcuffed in Bonaire.
Kuwas was led by heavily armed policemen with balaclavas and accompanied by a group of plainclothes detectives. Probably the transportation has to do with the trial this week in Curaçao of the case "Maximus" which Kuwas is a witness. Kuwas would have indicated that he wants to make a statement. His life sentence has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.
Maximus is the criminal case against the man who is seen by the prosecution as the link between the executors and intellectual authors of the assassination of Wiels.
