Fine for boating without a license
WILLEMSTAD - The man J.P. van der M. (1967) was sentenced on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 by the Court in Curaçao to pay a fine of 125 guilders for sailing without a valid license.
Sailing without a (valid) license is prohibited in accordance with article 4, paragraph 1 and article 32 paragraph 2 of the Inland Regulation Curaçao. The demand of the Public Prosecutor was for the man to pay a fine of 200 guilders.
The man was caught by the Coast Guard on August 16, 2014 for sailing without a license.
Van der M. himself was not present at the treatment of the case. But the judge ruled in his case because the man has been served in accordance with the law.
