Fonseca turns himself in
WILLEMSTAD – The Public Prosecution (OM) reported this morning that Burney Fonseca was arrested again. The man suspected of involvement in the murder of Helmin Wiels would have, after his release, been involved with drugs and money laundering.
Nini, as Fonseca is also called, was not at home at the time of the raid, but this morning he voluntarily turned himself in at the police station. Three other men were also arrested in this case.
Fonseca was released in August last year after a pre-trial detention pending further investigation into the case of the intellectual authors of the murder of former politician and Member of Parliament, Helmin Wiels.
Fonseca played according to the public a crucial role between the intellectual authors and the perpetrators of that murder.
