Imprisonment of the 6 suspects of the gold robbery

WILLEMSTAD – The examining magistrate (RC) announced today the "detention" order for the period of 60 days for the 6 suspects currently imprisoned in connection with the robbery of the gold bars on November 30, 2012 at the Grote Werf in downtown Willemstad (Punda). That night at 04:30, 70 gold bars were stolen aboard the freighter "Summer Bliss".

On December 27, 2012, the police, on behalf of the Public Prosecutor (OM), arrested seven persons in connection with this case. One could soon return home. Suspects in this case are: G.R. (43), A. D. 46), M.P.B. (45), J.S. (44), L. S. (28) R. P. and (46). Among them, three of Venezuelan nationality. One comes from Bonaire and the other two from Curacao. The prosecution did not exclude the possibility of more  arrests.

The "detention" of the suspects today confirmed by the RC was prolonged for a maximum period of 60 days. Following is the "renewal detention" for up to 30 days and the "additional extension detention" by a maximum of 30 days. Following is the the courtroom.
