Life long sentences for airport shooters
WILLEMSTAD – The victims of the airport shooting can finally say that justice has been served. Both shooters, Judrin “MOB” Martis and Adrian “Venenu” Martha were sentenced today to life in prison in accordance with the demands of the Public Prosecutor.
During the shooting, which took place on July 15 of last year in front of the arrival hall of the airport, two men were killed, Erwin “Jais” Juliana and his nephew Shentley “Champi” Arnhem.
Raily Bart, who was the driver of the getaway car was sentenced to twenty years in prison. Joint offenders, Renaldo “Naldo Rasta” Martina and Gyvency “Rama” Maria, who were on the lookout, were sentenced to fourteen and twelve years consecutively.
The court gave the men and the public prosecution two weeks’ time to appeal against the verdict.
