Lifelong sentence for gunmen in Hato double-murder
WILLEMSTAD - On the second and last day of the trial over the killings at the Hato airport in July last year, the Public Prosecution (OM), as expected, demanded severe penalties against the three main suspects, who were charged with these murders. The OM demanded life imprisonment for Judrin Martis alias Mob and Adrian Martha alias Venenu (poison). They actually shot at the two fatalities, hit 7 bystanders and later fired on the police while in pursuit.
The other suspect Raily Bart should receive, in accordance with the OM, 24 years in jail. On Thursday last week, the OM demanded 12 years in prison for the two others Givency Mary and Renaldo Martina.
They were accomplices to the double murder and they have a criminal record, but on the other hand, they helped the OM with the investigation. Otherwise, said the prosecutor, he would have demanded 20 to 24 years in prison for them.
