Manhunt on 20 criminals who fled to Dutch Caribbean

ivo-opstelten22THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD – “We'll find them.” The Dutch Minister of Security and Justice, Mr. Ivo Opstelten will do everything in our power to ensure that the 20 fugitive criminals from Curacao, Aruba and St. Maarten are back in the Netherlands. This is what the Minister declared in the Dutch Parliament during his last intervention.

The reason for this statement was the recently published article in the Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, which elaborated on the fugitive criminals hiding in especially Curacao. According to the newspaper there are quite a few serious criminals among them. These criminals should serve long sentences in the Netherlands. According to Opstelten, the efforts to address this issue are even more intensified.

Recently, the seven years fugitive criminal Melfrin K. was arrested in Curacao. This happened thanks to sleuthing crime reporter John van den Heuvel. Opstelten said about to be delighted about this.
