No deal between gambling boss and public prosecution
WILLEMSTAD - There will be no final deal between the embattled gambling boss, Robbie dos Santos and the Public Prosecutor (OM). On October 23 Dos Santos will stand trial in the case Bientu. He is suspected of money laundering, forgery and tax evasion.
The actual trial will be until March next year. The case gained international notoriety when former Minister of Justice and now Member of Parliament, Elmer Wilsoe personally interfered with the case and wrote a letter to Hillary Clinton. Thus he tried to get the funds, 50 million dollars frozen in a bank account in Florida, available for Robbie Dos Santos.
