Several searches in case dubbed Avior

avior1WILLEMSTAD - Six raids were held on Tuesday morning in Curaçao. These were executed by the Investigation Cooperation Team (RST) in collaboration with Defense, the Police Corps Curaçao, the Asset Recovery Team, the Royal Police and the Police Corps Aruba. The searches were conducted in various homes, mini markets and business premises.

At the same time, two searches were conducted under the leadership of the Dutch authorities in a house and mini-market in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The searches took place in the presence of a Magistrate (RC) and a Public Prosecutor (OvJ) of the Public Prosecutor'savior2 Office (OM).

The suspect W.S.C has been arrested. He is suspected of (habitual) money laundering and underground banking.

During the searches, documents from the administration and digital files have been seized for further investigation. There was also a large amount of money, about 1 million guilders in cash, a number of cars including a Porsche Cayenne, Toyota Corolla, RAV4, Jeep Cherokee and a large number of properties with a combined value of around 10 million guilders.

More arrests or other searches, in this case, are not ruled out by the Public Prosecutor.
