158 thousand kilos of cocaine intercepted in one year
WILLEMSTAD - The US FOL base in Aruba and Curaçao intercepted last year 158 thousand kilos of cocaine, eight thousand kilos of marijuana and three kilograms of heroin.
More than 500 flights required to obtain this result. Most of them were from Curacao. The FOL treaty expires in November this year and then it will be extended again for five years.
The Americans have been fighting drug trafficking from the air since 2001.
