AD: “AVA Airways is mostly air”
WILLEMSTAD – According to the local Dutch newspaper Antilliaans Dagblad, AVA Airways, the air carrier on paper owned by Olivier Arrindell and MAN politician Giovanni Atalita that have threatened the government with a lawsuit because no economic permit has been granted yet, largely seems to consist of air.
Antilliaans Dagblad indicated in its article that they have a forensic report, commissioned by Minister Suzy Camelia-Römer of Traffic, Transportation and Spatial Planning. Many documents presented by AVA Airways in recent months and handed over to the authorities are “to a high degree of probability not authentic”.
For the financing of the airline, AVA refers to companies in the United States that are “probably fictitious”. Moreover, KPMG New York indicated, and this is stated in the forensic report, that the company presented by AVA, Grace Aviation Holdings is not their client and that they have never issued an advisory letter in favor of the airline. This is contrary to what AVA has indicated in their letter.
AVA Airways promised mountains of gold. As the airline of Curaçao and the Caribbean, according to a confidential proposal distributed by AVA itself, AVA sees the possibility to transport ten million passengers. This supposedly confidential report was prepared by Grace Aviation Holdings, LLC.
This name also appears as one of the American companies that has provided letters of guarantee. The other involves Capital Partners, also a guarantor for AVA Airways’ Arrindell, Atalita and Arsenio Scherptong. All three are shareholders of the airline in formation.
According to the Dutch newspaper, the forensic report shows that this company does not exist.
