ADC does not meet requirements Ordinance Healthcare Institutions

Jan HuurmanWILLEMSTAD - The Healthcare Inspectorate indicated that the laboratory ADC does not meet the requirements of the Ordinance Healthcare facilities. That was stated by the inspection in a report published on the occasion of an inspection visit to ADC on February 15 of this year.

Inspector Jan Huurman says the inspection raised questions about the future of the organization. "Not only on the basis of the financial position, but also on the basis of the problematic relationship with its largest customer, the St. Elisabeth Hospital (Sehos)." All of these findings is reason for the inspection to increase surveillance on ADC.

In particular, the ADC services in the field of pathology and medical microbiology remains weak, according to Huurman. The Sehos is setting up its own laboratory for these fields. The inspection wants ADC to turn in an action plan on how they will tackle these issues and which measures they will take to improve their quality.
