ADECK meets with president Colombian Chamber of Commerce

ADECKWILLEMSTAD – The local employers’ organization ADECK met with the president of the Colombian Chamber of Commerce, Central America and the Caribbean, Camilo Acevedo Rojas. This was reported by the organization.

According to the Adeck’s Board, they are currently preparing for a trade mission to Colombia. The meeting with the Colombian Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations. “For a long time we’ve looked to North America and Europe without realizing the potential of our region and the many possibilities for trade between the countries,” Acevedo Rojas said.

ADECK’s objectives are:

  • Organizing lectures, courses and seminars on a regular basis, on current topics which are of interest to small entrepreneurs
  • Initiating and supervising studies in those areas of interest to the Small Entrepreneurial Sector on Curaçao; the basic purpose of these studies is to stimulate, support, help and advice
  • Providing the necessary information and assistance to those interested in starting their own small enterprises
  • Providing advice to small entrepreneurs and, when necessary, cooperate with other professional institutions to provide such advice
  • Representing the (small) Entrepreneurial Sector when decisions concerning or effecting them have to be made.
