Almost a quarter of the drivers have not paid their vehicle tax yet

New Picture New PictureWILLEMSTAD - 70-thousand motorists have paid their vehicle tax in 2014. With nearly 90,000 cars on the road, 20-thousand drivers still need to pay.

That is according to Alfonso Trona, the Tax Collector of Curacao. The drivers, who did pay, did that in three installments through their bank. The cash payment of taxes is thus clearly on its return. Those who do not pay taxes and are stopped by the police must pay 450 guilders in fine.
