Another record measurements emissions Isla

Oil refineryWILLEMSTAD - Emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the last month were again shockingly. This was reported by the environmental organization Clean Environment Foundation in Curaçao (SMOC).

Measurements at Beth Chaim and Kas Chikitu shows that the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) have been exceeded several times.

The organization also expresses that it is very concerned about the total emissions (Total Suspended Matter) and particulate emissions. This would worrisome particularly for the elderly.

Next week, the oil refinery will be on the agenda of the Dutch Parliament.
