Avalon welcomes new students through white coat ceremony

WILLEMSTAD - Avalon University School of Medicine, Curaçao conducted the white coat ceremony for incoming students which took place at Hilton Hotel. White coat ceremony is generally conducted at the beginning of Medical school career. The University does this ceremony to witness the new students, symbolically join this noble profession of medicine by donning the white coats and reciting an oath.  The new students take the Hippocratic Oath.

Prime Minister of Curacao, Eugene Rhuggenaath attended this event as the chief guest and also delivered the key note speech. The Chancellor of Avalon University School of Medicine, Dr. Shokat Fatteh shared his words of wisdom with the students. Executive Dean Dr. Sateesh Arja shared his encouraging thoughts and ideas with the students and faculty members.

Rhuggenaath presented the awards and certificates for the volunteers and presenters of International Academic Symposium of Avalon 2017 which was conducted in July. The physicians from the island also attended this event.

Prime Minister Rhuggenaath, did the white coating for new students. As a key note speaker, he delivered a wonderful and mesmerizing speech. His speech has a lot of thoughts and insight. It is very inspiring and motivating for the students.
