Bus drivers do not accept new tariff
WILLEMSTAD – Drivers of small private buses already indicated last week that they will not accept the new reduced tariff for passengers.
Yesterday the unions, representing these drivers, STU, announced that the new rates, which took effect on June 1 of this year will not be accepted.
The argument brought forth by the drivers together with the union is that the fluctuating fuel prices have never influenced the bus tariffs in the last three years.
The union is getting ready to take action against the government.
