CAP: ‘The way ABVO uses the tragic incident is inappropriate’

CAP is very disappointed by ABVO using incident to address airport operations and CLA topics

Curacao AirportWILLEMSTAD – Curaçao Airport Partners received a letter from the union ABVO Thursday morning with the request to discuss certain operational topics. CAP is very disappointed to learn that ABVO has reached out to the media in order to draw attention to operational matters. CAP believes that the statements made by ABVO in the media serve only to instill unnecessary anxiety in the community. The platform for any such needed discussion is the meeting table, where ABVO has always been welcome to openly dialogue with its airport management.

CAP regrets that ABVO has used the terrible incident to address normal operational issues in the media. CAP wants to emphasize the fact towards the community of Curaçao, passengers and users of the airport facility, that the Curaçao International Airport is a safe airport that fully meets all international standards for the safe operation and management of an international airport facility and will continue to do so.
