Castoro 7 moored at Caracas Bay

WILLEMSTAD – The 180 meters long, 60 meters wide and 33 meters high cabling and pipeline platform Castoro 7 has moored in the deep sea port of Caracas Bay last weekend. The platform delivers an impressive view, especially if these are compared with the swimmers and bathers little further on the beach.

Castoro 7, sailing under the Panamanian flag, is part of the fleet of Saipem and according to the Offshore Magazine it is contracted for the construction of pipelines for gas exports within the so-called Dragon CIGMA project in Venezuela. The platform that can accommodate 400 crew will be moored in Curacao some time and possibly even months awaiting the commencement of the job for.
