CIFFR is more than a film festival
WILLEMSTAD - CIFFR – is the abbreviation of Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam, taking place for the fourth year in a row between March 25 and 29, 2015, at the Cinemas. The Bon Intenshon foundation is the organizer of this event, closely cooperating with the IFFR – the International Film Festival of the Dutch city of Rotterdam.
In addition to five days filled with films that are normally not screened on the island, the 4th edition offers a variety of activities for all ages. They can meet with attending international filmmakers and talk about their work during Q&A sessions. There will be kid’s films and film making workshops, an educational program for high school students, offering youngsters a chance to experience new ideas and develop their own views, etc.
The Yellow Robin Award competition is also part of the festival, stimulating filmmakers from the Caribbean and Latin America to send in productions which will be evaluated by a jury. Film buffs can test their knowledge in the CIFFR Film Quiz. One can satisfy one’s curiosity during special exhibits or even relax and enjoy a performance of the talented musicians of the Youth Orchestra. And all this in the center of Willemstad where you can meet your fellow festival goers
