CITRO brings 23 sailors to safety during Christmas
WILLEMSTAD - Rescue brigade CITRO on Christmas Day brought a boat with 23 sailors to safety. The boat had engine problems and floated over a kilometer away from the coast at East Point.
Because of the strong winds and rough seas the boat threatened to drift towards the shore and crash on the rocks.
The rescue brigade, however, was present at the time and has rescued all 23 people and brought them aboard the CITRO’s boat before the situation became dangerous.
