Curaçao and Aruban Militia in training with Curaçao Police Force
WILLEMSTAD - In the period starting May 5 till 9, the militiamen of Curaçao and Aruba will be in various places on the island to train together with the Police Corps Curaçao. The trainings will take place in the vicinity of Barber and Fuik.
During the operation “Ta Basta Awor” (It’s Enough) the Curaçao Militia and Police Corps Curaçao have worked closely together. To strengthen this cooperation, they will now train together again. And they have better knowledge and can tailor procedures together. In addition, they see who has what certain capabilities, which can be used during the operation. The Aruban Militia is part of the training to acquire knowledge which they will take to Aruba.
The Curaçao Militia is the professional militia of Curaçao. The militiamen are trained at the Naval Base in Suffisant. They are used to promote safety on the island.
