Curaçao Has A New School Of Management

CSMWILLEMSTAD (CSM) – Today the Curaçao School of Management (CSM) opens its doors.

A new Business School on Curaçao, for Curaçao and by Curaçao. Only teachers that live on Curaçao will teach.

The new Business School opens with seven modern courses: Masterclasses Middle Management, Higher Management, Inspiring Leadership, Realising your goals with Getting Things Done, Inspiring Security Risk Management, Organisation 3.0 and Top Staff 1, especially for staff on Curaçao.

CSM expects every participant in a course to give a lecture about his or her greatest talent.

CSM is an initiative of two Curaçao natives, Runy Calmera and Tom Kok. Runy Calmera at the opening: “On Curaçao we have impressive trees, where since old times people gather, discuss and tell stories. Bou’i Palu, under the tree. We consider it an honour to sit under the tree. CSM carries on this tradition by having several sessions during each course under the tree. Bou’i Palu, typical, unique, really Curaçao, relaxed, unforgetable.”

Tom Kok: “The trademark, the common elements in all our courses are Inspiration and Realization. We go back in contact with your own source of inspiration to generate every day the energy you need for your work and private life. On the other hand we teach you to have the power to get plans to execution, ro realize what you have decided.”

Th Business School will be a totally online training center. All courses and exams will be available online. Runy Calmera: “If you subscribe this week for the free newsletter on our website, you will be instantly rewarded with free tips on inspiration and realization.”

Teachers at the start of the school are Tom Kok, Runy Calmera, Ruud Hamers and Miguel Goede.

CSM has the ambition to become a knowledge center about Small Island Developing States, a group of 54 states that are considered by the United Nations to have social and economic challenges similar to Curaçao.

The courses last between one day and three months and will cost between Nafl. 950- and Nafl 2450,-. Courses will start in the first week of April.

The Curaçao School of Management has its seat in The Ritz at the Scharlooweg. A historic building in the center of Curaçao. Masterclasses will be held in the recently renovated Style room and under the tree. Bou’i Palu.
